Over the years, the Kenya Golfing Society (KGS) has demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting golf clubs across Kenya, particularly those in need of assistance. Through various contributions and donations, KGS has played a key role in enhancing the infrastructure, equipment, and overall conditions of golf clubs, ensuring that the sport continues to thrive in different regions.

By making these contributions, KGS continues to foster growth in the sport while supporting clubs in need, ensuring they maintain quality standards and accessibility for players. These efforts reflect KGS’s ongoing dedication to strengthening golf in Kenya.

Equipment Donations

  • Makuyu Golf Club and Nyahururu Sports Club received lawn mowers to help maintain their courses.
  • Kisii Golf Club benefited from a green mower, provided in part collaboration with the Society of Golf Seniors Kenya (SGSK).
  • Malindi Golf Club was provided with a fringe cutter to support course upkeep.

Facility Improvements

  • Machakos Golf Club received financial contributions towards clubhouse repairs and the purchase of a tractor, ensuring better grounds management.
  • Malindi Golf Club also secured support for clubhouse repairs, helping improve member facilities.

Golf Essentials

  • Gilgil Country Club was provided with bath towels for member and guest use.
  • Kenya Railway Golf Club and Kakamega Golf Club both received essential pins and cups, supporting their course maintenance and tournament standards.

Pandemic Relief Efforts

  • During the Covid-19 pandemic, KGS stepped in to provide financial aid for caddies’ welfare funds across nearly all golf clubs in Kenya, helping sustain these vital members of the golfing community during difficult times.
